Why Choose Canvas?

Canvas prints offer a timeless way to display photography and artwork. By printing directly onto artist canvas and stretching it over a solid wood frame, the image takes on a softer, more textured appearance than traditional photo paper.

Without the need for glass, canvas reduces reflections and glare while adding warmth and depth to a room. Whether you're displaying family portraits, wedding photos, vacation memories, or artwork, canvas provides a relaxed, gallery-inspired look that works beautifully in both modern and traditional spaces.

Every canvas is printed using professional archival inks and hand-stretched over solid wood bars. Tight corners, even tension, and careful finishing help ensure a clean, professional appearance that you'll be proud to display for years to come. Each piece is inspected before leaving our New Jersey facility to ensure it meets the standards we'd expect in our own homes.

What Does Gallery-Wrapped Mean?

A gallery-wrapped canvas is stretched around the sides of a wooden frame, creating a clean, finished edge that looks great without the need for an additional frame. The edge color can be set to standard white or black, or you can choose virtually any color using our color picker. For precise color matching, you can also enter a specific HEX color code.

Depending on your image and preferred look, you can choose between:

  • Gallery Wrap — the canvas wraps around the wooden frame, and the edges are finished with the color of your choice.
  • Mirrored Edge — the outer edges of the image are mirrored (reflected) and wrapped around the sides of the canvas, preserving more of the original image on the front while creating a seamless edge appearance.

Canvas edge thickness is available in two sizes:

  • 5/8" Thick — a slimmer profile that sits closer to the wall.
  • 1 1/4" Thick — a deeper gallery-style profile that creates a more substantial presentation.

Both edge options provide a professional, finished appearance and arrive ready to hang.

Canvas or Framed Print?

Both canvas prints and framed prints create beautiful displays, but they offer different styles and presentations.

Framed prints are often chosen for smaller and medium-sized displays where customers want a classic presentation with crisp detail, optional matting, and the added finish of a frame.

Canvas prints are especially popular for larger wall displays, offering a clean, gallery-style appearance without the reflections of glass. Their lightweight construction and frameless presentation make them an excellent choice for creating a substantial focal point in a room.

If you're looking for a timeless, traditional presentation, a framed print may be the perfect fit. If you prefer a more casual, gallery-inspired look, canvas is often an excellent choice.
